Author Guidelines
All documents submitted to the journal SIKLUS: Journal Research Midwifery Politeknik Tegal should not be published or submitted for publication elsewhere. The official language of the manuscript is Indonesian/English.
Description
SIKLUS: Journal Research Midwifery Politeknik Tegal is a periodical scientific journal (ISSN 2089-6778) published by Pusat Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat (P3M) of Polytechnic Harapan Bersama and managed by the Diploma in Midwifery Program of Polytechnic Harapan Bersama. The journal is published twice a year and accepts research articles covering the fields of health and midwifery sciences.
SIKLUS promotes the exchange of ideas and rational discourse among health science researchers. It publishes original articles on empirical and theoretical studies, as well as research reports that use systematic analysis from different perspectives and approaches.
General Writing Guidelines
All manuscripts must be submitted through the Online Submission at the e-Journal portal: https://ejournal.poltektegal.ac.id/index.php/siklus. Authors must register online. For submission problems, contact the Editorial Office: Journal.siklus@gmail.com or journal.siklus@poltektegal.ac.id.
Article Writing Guidelines
- All manuscripts must not be published or submitted elsewhere. The official language is Indonesian/English.
- Manuscripts should be 8 pages or more, including text, abstracts, tables, footnotes, appendices, and references (with editorial approval).
- Manuscripts must be in MS Word format (.doc/.docx), Times New Roman, 11 pt. Paper size: A4 (210 × 297 mm), two-column format with margins: top 3 cm, bottom 3 cm, left 4 cm, right 3 cm. Single spacing. Page numbers in the footer. Avoid personal pronouns like “I”, “we”, or “our”.
- Headings must be bold with capital letters at the beginning of each word (except conjunctions). Titles must be ≤ 20 words, Times New Roman 12 pt, clear, specific, and complete. Avoid overuse of abbreviations.
- Author names must be written in full without titles. Use [number] for corresponding authors. Include complete affiliation details: unit, faculty, university, address, country.
- Abstracts must contain objectives, methods, results, and discussion in a single paragraph, ≤ 200 words, in English and Indonesian, Times New Roman 10 pt, single spacing. No citations.
- Manuscripts must follow the structure below (except review articles):

References
References must be original, avoid excessive self-citation or repeated citations from the same source. Check details: author, volume, issue, year, DOI. Use Vancouver Style.
Terms of Reference
- Main references: journals, patents, dissertations, theses, conference papers, textbooks.
- Prefer references from the last 10 years.
- Avoid secondary references, popular textbooks, general internet sources (except e-journals and official institutes).
- Abstracts cannot be cited.
- Number references sequentially [1], [2], [3], …
- In-text citations use numbers only, e.g., “…implemented [1]. Data model standardization applied [2].”

Revised manuscripts should be returned promptly. Submit via Online Submission or email: journal.siklus@harkatnegeri.ac.id or journal.siklus@gmail.com. Manuscripts returned later than 1 month will be treated as new submissions.
